@willow10

I asked specifically about dental work and Evenity and was told that if I need something done (at the age of 68 I have a wisdom tooth coming in, darnit!) to go ahead and do it while I'm on Evenity. She said the indications of jaw osteonecrosis is very low with Evenity, because the anti-resorption properties aren't as high with it as with most other drugs. The main thrust of Evenity is bone-building, which is why in most cases, we'll need to follow up with another medication to protect the gains. She also said the only case she personally had seen with jaw osteonecrosis was someone that had to have 4 teeth removed and was on another drug. I don't recall which it was, but it wasn't Evenity.
Be sure and ask your health care provider for yourself, but thought I'd relate what I was told by my health care pro.
good luck!

This kind of matches with what my dentist (who is a prosthodontist) told me when I was considering taking drugs for osteopenia and alarmed about the osteonecrosis risk of Prolia and the bisphosphonates.

One thing to keep in mind is that there is 'natural' bone loss from aging that also affects the dental arch. So one needs to monitor that and do whatever bone retention efforts help bone health in general but bone loss isn't necessarily an early sign of osteonecrosis.

That is very interesting. I called Amgen, who makes Evenity, and was told not to have any oral surgery while taking it. There is also a warning about it in the literature on Evenity.
