Anyone on Pluvicto (Lu 177), a new drug for prostate cancer?

My close friend has had Pluvecto treatment suggested to him by oncologists. It is relatively new, having been approved by the FDA in March 2022. Have any of you been given this drug? I have read it is radioactive material and patient needs to stay away 6 ft from others for at least 3 days so as not to contaminate them. He has not yet decided whether to take the treatment or not as he is feeling awful enough as is.

Good luck, RSO, with your journey. This whole process is tiring (and not just physically) and time-consuming. I hope the lu177 is helpful for you. I am waiting to see what my next steps will be.

My PSA went from 27 to 81 in a month. I see my oncologist on the 8th to see how my blood counts and PSA are doing. We will then see if other tests will be required at this time. In the meantime we just keep plugging along trusting in the power of prayer and science.

Good luck, RSO, with your journey. This whole process is tiring (and not just physically) and time-consuming. I hope the lu177 is helpful for you. I am waiting to see what my next steps will be.

My PSA went from 27 to 81 in a month. I see my oncologist on the 8th to see how my blood counts and PSA are doing. We will then see if other tests will be required at this time. In the meantime we just keep plugging along trusting in the power of prayer and science.

So not so good news for me yesterday. Probably not a candidate for Pluvitco even though a moderate amount of areas lit up and my insurance company approved. It's the areas that didn't show PSMA that are of concern to the doctor. Still waiting for mutation results on recent prostate biopsy and will now schedule another biopsy on one of the newer tumors above the prostate in the sacral area. I have them baffled at this point. Feeling disappointed and discouraged.

My first gene mutation results showed that I do not respond to any of the newer immunotherapy drugs. I wish I had known that before being on abiraterone for 8 months. Waiting now for my second results from a recent prostate biopsy to see if any other mutations are present while I wait for Pluvitco. All we can do is remain hopeful and definitely place our faith in the research being performed. Science is definitely amazing.

Enzalutimide is chemo in a pill Darolutimide takes it further as it is an inhibitor more advanced that Zolodex

My PSA 25 June 2021 is 1.2 after 3 months on Zolodex I am metastatic Stage 4 in my spine I am looking at Daralutimide as its just approved for castrate sensitive as before it was only for restive

RSO, I am sorry to hear this news. I hope the biopsy analysis provides guidance for your next steps. I know how hard it is to stay positive and patient. Try not to get too low. Keep up your favorite activities as best you can. Keep us informed.

It seems that Pluvitco is used for those who have bone metastasis which I do not, well at least yet at this rate. Hopefully it won't progress to 5hst before my second biopsy is performed and resulted. New tumors have been showing and progressing which is very worrisome. Mismatched lesions I guess which the doc can't definitely say are prostate cancer. Such a crazy time.
