My variety of post operative gastropanesis will never correct itself.. those nerves are a hairnet like network that should contract to ease the stomach processed foods out .. some of mine foods take 3 hours or more to leave on their way.. sometimes I get the regurgitation that tastes so sour.. many hours after eating.. one example: I ate chicken with broccoli...hours later I vomited just the broccoli.. my Mayo GI doctor said I never have to eat broccoli again.. they prescribed the generic Nexium and Mirtazapine to help me think that I want to eat..

Ugh that sucks. I haven’t vomited or had the urge, nor have I had nausea. I haven’t had too much bloating, but I do have a lot of gurgling in my abdomen after I eat. I’ve only used the bathroom twice in the ten days post-surgery, but I’ve also not eaten a whole lot. I think I’m getting hungrier, but not much. I was eating more the first day than I am now. The sour taste has been nonstop since the surgery. I ate an apple a little while ago (first solid food) with no issues. But shortly after, I had extra acid or sour taste in my mouth, and it had a menthol tinge (I drank water with peppermint oil five hours ago). I just took some nexium in hopes the acid goes away. I was worried I have a loose wrap- now I’m worried it’s something worse
