Not sure this is right place to post but about 3 years ago I had breast cancer After about 2 years after started seeing primary for cancer blood work Lately i have been feeling really strange and feel something is wrong so I called up Lacrosse to see if I could get a check up with the nurse I was seeing I was told by her to come back anytime .So I called and was told to just go see my primary dr.They would not set up appointment for me. How can someone at mayo tell you that first five years are very important

@sclark3, you must feel gutted. The transfer of care between your cancer care team and primary care physician can be confusing. Your primary care physician is the right place to start. They know you best and will perform any and all necessary tests to rule out possible causes to your symptoms. If a cancer recurrence or new cancer is even suspected, your care will continue with the cancer specialists at Mayo Clinic via your primary care physician's referral.

You know your body. If something feels off, then you know to take action. Please call your PCP asap. Over the weekend, I also recommend taking note of your symptoms and try to define what feels strange or off. This will help your PCP to investigate further. S/he will likely start with blood work.
