Metoprolol gave me a low-flow TIA, sent me to the hospital for three days. Nobody knew what was going on, my cardiologist never had the guts to show up. Went home after 3 days, got myself a new cardiologist. I am on my fourth cardiologist. He seems to be interested in his patients.
It did raise my BP which had always been low.
Metoprolol is a beta blocker used for heart and high blood pressure issues. When I was on it I was totally exhausted all the time. I was taken off it and switched to another medication.
and... I should add, I went to the emergency room because my face and arms both went numb. I thought it was a stroke.
