I certainly feel really alone. I feel like my family are sick of hearing about it, but I don't think they understand how serious it is, they think that it's just like getting diagnosed with asthma or being diagnosed with diabetes.. it really sucks to feel so alone in this

I really think you need to talk to a cardiology team about what your options are are this point.
Sorry not to be more help, but they are the experts, with access to all of your records.

And you are right! Cardiomyopathy is definitely not like asthma or diabetes.
