I have replied several times regarding Evenity. Have now had 8 injections. Doing fine. I have no heart issues so was a candidate. After 12 shots I will switch to Prolea. my only warning- every shot involves 2 injections. Make sure they give 1 in right arm and the other in the left. You can have soreness at the site for a couple of days. My dr said use ice when I get home and then take Benedryl. That has helped. I feel very good about my decision, especially since my osteoporosis is very bad and I am a very active 79 year old. Play tennis and walk and want to do so as long as possible. Good luck

Thank you! Very encouraging; so grateful for these positive comments. I too would like to continue to play tennis (carefully) and walk. Comments like these are helping me to move forward. I wonder why Benedryl?

I’m about to take #7 Evenity shots Monday- so far no problems!
I’m thinking I will take Prolia for maintenance as well- meeting with an endocrinologist in September.
By the way, you can take them in the fatty part of the arms, abdomen or thighs. I try to move them around and get one on each side.
I’m about to turn 64.
