Thank you - I had a bad accident in 2016 and lost my spleen so Dr Hower warned me that he won’t know if I have too much scarring until he goes to do the RNY … I’d too much scarring he’ll have to do the sleeve.
I’ve heard better things about the RNY so I’m alittle worried and bummed.
I appreciate your help and knowledge!

Please investigate the BPDS (Bilopancreatic diversion with Duodenal switch) as an option if you have over 100 lbs. to lose. I had my surgery 20 years ago and am still maintaining a 200lb. Weight loss. It's a more serious surgery with a higher rate of malabsorption, so it's for those of us who had extreme amounts of weight to lose. You'll need to remember to take your vitamins daily, even 20 years down the road. I know I wouldn't be here today if I didn't have this surgery.
