Please investigate the BPDS (Bilopancreatic diversion with Duodenal switch) as an option if you have over 100 lbs. to lose. I had my surgery 20 years ago and am still maintaining a 200lb. Weight loss. It's a more serious surgery with a higher rate of malabsorption, so it's for those of us who had extreme amounts of weight to lose. You'll need to remember to take your vitamins daily, even 20 years down the road. I know I wouldn't be here today if I didn't have this surgery.
