I had PMR about 8 years ago and lasted 2 years. I went on the Aim product which consisted of beet, carrot and barley. I took this every morning and it made me feel a lot better. I got rid of the prednisone as there were to many side effects. The Aim product seemed to boast my system. About 6 months ago i woke up with PMR again. I don't know if it can re occure, I will find out this week after a blood test. If i am tested positive, I will be going back on the Aim product before i take any further medication. Doctors here in South Africa do not like the Aim product, and I don't like prednisone. I was living on 28 tablets a day. I did not find much improvement with prednisone at all. I hope you feel better soon.

I also had/have PMR that began 8/10. It is slowly going away, and I feel almost like my old self again. My question to anyone that has dealt with that problem is did any of you experience a traumatic emotional event prior to the PMR symptoms? I "think" emotional stress may be the catalyst to this awful condition. In my case I was nearing retirement and my spouse announced she wanted a divorce. It was and still is difficult to deal with. Some months after that information I developed PMR. I don't think this post will go out to a large number of people and I haven't seen the option to put a message out to the masses.

Please tell me just what the aim product is. I am on Predisone 15 mg for poly and fibromyalgia. I'm also on Vicoden for pain, and Cymbalta and Amitriptyline and Ativan. Predisone helps but I do not want to stay on it for long. Been on it for 2 months. Hope all goes well for you.
