@makdny68, welcome.
According to this helpful article
- What You Need to Know About Calcified Granulomas https://www.healthline.com/health/calcified-granuloma
"The formation of calcified granulomas in the lungs is often due to infections. These can be from a bacterial infection, such as tuberculosis (TB). Calcified granulomas can also form from fungal infections such as histoplasmosis or aspergillosis. Noninfectious causes of lung granulomas include conditions such as sarcoidosis and Wegener’s granulomatosis."

However, I see that you posted your question in the Lung Cancer group, so I presume you are concerned about possible cancer. That must be worrisome. Have you had a chance to speak with your doctor about the possible cause and next steps? Have you had an infection lately? Covid?

My concern is he has a 12mm calcified granuloma in the left lower lung and is this something to be concerned about..he just had a CT scan and that's what the scan showed and no the Dr. Has not gotten back to us yet. He did have covid in 2020 that almost took him and now he has issues with breathing. What size should a granuloma be to be on the safe side.
