What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

It's been a little while since I've had a really good day at my computer room window viewing at the bird feeder. Today was indeed a good day - Pilleated Woodpecker, a momma turkey with one of her chicks on ground cleanup duty and a couple of other visitors.
Wow, yes! Great that the hawk made it. One life saved!
Oooh I love those! Look at that squirrel, I want to pick it up and caress it. I used to have pet squirrels. The woodpeckers and the rest are wonderful as well. It must be so good to have a view like that.
Is the dog named Kodiak?
Wonderful photos, John! You sure have a sanctuary for wildlife! Pretty dog, is that your daughter’s? I’m sure he/she enjoys chasing the turkeys away! Though I know from experience those turkeys aren’t afraid of much. Our old Golden used to give them a wide berth in the yard. 😅
That's a moment you'd rather not have when going for your morning brew! Glad all is well. When I drive, I'm always on the look out for deer. Now that is really something you don't want to hit!
What lovely photos! I am a bird watcher and always amazed by them. I have tried to photograph birds many times, but they are too darn fast! I've heard there are binoculars that have a camera on them. I might have to invest.
Thanks for sharing the photos. Nice dog too!
There was an adult black bear (I'm guessing the mama) and two cubs outside my window this morning. Which was a convenient excuse for postponing my daily walk in favor of continuing to read a good book. Indoors.
Unfortunately this isn't what I see out my window but It's what I would chose. It's Mt Shasta in northern CA.
Mt. Shasta is a lovely place! When I lived in Socal it was a favorite place to unwind.
Have you named your Chippee yet? Looks like a nice little gal or lad. Probably needs some peanuts these days.
