My 75-year-old wife for 54 years now is my caretaker as well. I have been dealing with Parkinson's for 7 years; neck surgery (level 5-7) fusion due to cervical cord compression, 5 weeks ago; and Vertigo for the last 3weeks. Pain still prevails, but I am wondering what I can do to show my earnest appreciation for all that she does.
She not only has to take on all household duties from taking out the trash, cooking, cleaning up after me, assuming financial bill paying duties etc., while constantly worrying about the likelihood of my falling, which I seem to do about 2-3 times per month. We are by no means wealthy but can pay our bills and have enough money left to go out to eat maybe once per week (if I feel up to it). She deserves something special for sure. Any thoughts on what I can do for her? I truly love her, and obviously she loves me as well. She also manages to put up with my oftentimes "off the wall behavior" which is hard to explain. Any neat ideas would truly be appreciated. Thanks, and God bless!

You clearly have a wonderful marriage. Perhaps a poem from you would be a special gift.

Writing a poem is an excellent idea. I like to write anyway; so, why not? Appreciate your ideas!
Thanks for your kindness.
