Hello, I am preparing to apply to be seen at Mayo for numerous autoimmune issues amongst other health issues. I have a question…when you mentioned, “ I went to endocrinology, sleep medicine, gynecology, and had my hearing and vision checked” how long was the span of time in which you were seen in these various consultations? I’m wondering if I’m looking at numerous trips to Mayo or if they try to do it over one long extended stay? Thank you in advance for your help! I hope you are feeling better soon ✌️❤️

The length of time you will need to stay and if everything can be done in one visit will depend on your situation and appointment availability.

Typically, based on information from you or your medical records, they will have your initial appointments / tests schedule. After your initial appointment, more appointment with other specialists and tests may be added.

Whenever possible they are very efficient in scheduling appointments / tests. Because all testing are done at Mayo, results are usually available in less than 24 hours.

But, the demand for some appointments and tests exceeds available appointments. So, if no appointments are available during your visit, you may need to extend your stay or return.

I live in MN and many of my friends and family who are already Mayo patients are having longer waits then usual to get appointments.
