Hi @fdixon63, I think I'm with you on thinking blood work may not pinpoint what is going on to cause your husband's symptoms. Here's some information I found on the topic and possible causes.

Thanks for your insight and information. Yes, I think actually getting an appt. with a GI doc is in order. Will see if the others you indicated will let me hear their experiences. Faye
