How is everything going?
Just an update 2.5 years on. Still no surgery for me and started running again but the volume and distance isn’t what it used to be. I’ve also picked up weight training and boxing to maintain the fitness and keep the weight off.
I don’t have issues with my back apart from tenderness associated with picking up the load with running and using the stair machine intensely or multiple times a week. I think the very training isn’t helpful at all.
My back does tend to crack a lot more these days but not associated with my pain or discomfort.
Hopefully losing a few more kgs will help ease any strain.
Yes - surgery should be last resort!
I was actually supposed to do a 100 mile run/walk/hike race this year in the Blue Mountains and Snow Moutains in Oz. I was also targeting Mount Fuji and San Juan in a couple of years… oh wells. There goes those dreams.
At least I can walk - that’s the main thing!
Biggest fight is mental - you are old enough and cut from the strong cloth. I’m sure you have a 50 mile left in you!!!
Keep me posted! 🤘🏽👍
