Is there any immunity boosting meds?

Have not asked the dermatologist--yet. They are to call me tomorrow about why it is taking two months to get a Mohs surgical appt. I did not intentionally get sun but we were kids with rural upbringing so there was a lot of outside activity. I do have fair skin, blue eyes... Also, back then, sunscreen was unheard of--I'm 76 now.

Depending on where you live, there may be more than one
Moh’s surgeon available. My appointment took about a month to schedule, as I recall. In April I had what felt like a miniature horn in a squamous CC on the back of my 82 year old thin-skinned hand removed by Moh’s. Unfortunately that guy did the removal one day and stitched up the wound he made from it the following day. That’s what he demanded of all his patients! Not in the patient’s best interest! Perhaps more profitable for him? Have since learned of two other Moh’s surgeons in the area. Both complete their work in the same day. In case of future need I’ll try one of them.

I’m not taking any fancy meds which might cause SCC. In my youth I “worked on my tan.”
Remember that expression? Some work! Suggest looking to see if other Moh’s surgeons are available. Good luck!

@fdixon63 I'm sorry to hear about the regrowth of the skin cancer. When you talk with the dermatologist, don’t be hesitant to ask good questions. 1. Did you get ‘clean margins’ when you removed the cancer? This is something the pathologist reports on to the doctor. If the margins weren’t ‘clean’, it means that some of the tissue was left behind. Getting clean margins is very difficult. You can also ask if there is an immune booster. What is the date of the next surgery?
Why have you been taking budesonide?
