I've been using Nutricology NAC for the last two years now and since beginning it have had excellent results in reducing both the cough and the mucus. I started using it once a day and when symptoms get worse switched to twice daily. I used to use The Vest jacket twice daily but had been doing so well that my pulmonary doctor told me I didn't need to use it unless lungs got worse! Also, I could cut down my saline nebulizing from twice daily to once! I had been getting my NAC from Vitacost but recently found it less expensive on evitamins.com. I chose this brand as reviews stated it didn't have the sulfur smell. When I couldn't find this brand, I tried another and the smell was horrific to me as I have a sensitive sniffer. I was happy to find the Nutricology brand once more -seems like companies are supplying it again. Hopefully, the government stays out of it so those of us experiencing COPD or bronchiectasis problems can obtain it.

We are new to diagnosis. You say cough less and have less mucus. We are under the impression that coughing is necessary to loosen and expectorate mucus. And that this would prove lifesaving. Are we incorrect? So much to learn.
