Hi @colleenyoung. As you already know, am in Stage IV CKD, having gone from Stage V and dialysis to Stage IV and no dialysis with good medical management and by my designing and following a vegetarian renal diet. I now have gastroparesis.

Hi @kamama94, there is no limit to your tenacity, ingenuity and dedication to your health. I'm so impressed that you have designed a diet that improved your kidney function and is keeping you off dialysis at the moment.

I can hear that disappointment in your writing that you are now facing new challenges, not the least of which is emptying and gastroparesis. You will find discussions about gastroparesis in the Digestive Health group. Here are a couple of discussions to help you connect with other members.

Here is a video from Madelynn Strong, clinical dietitian at Mayo Clinic, recommends some strategies and foods that may help speed up gastric emptying.

I have my fingers crossed that these foods that help gastroparesis are not contraindicataed with kidney disease and/or diabetes. Such a juggling act.
