What helps to relieve symptoms of IBS?

I drink hot peppermint tea every day and couple of times a day. I is very soothing. I also drink ginger tea. It’s very good for you too. I’ve stated taking IB Gard. It’s also peppermint capsules you take before meals 3x a day. My gastroenterologist suggested it also. Over the counter and can be bought in bulk on line.
If any one has had REAL success with the FODMAP diet please let me know. My doctor told me he has only had 1 patient that washable to stay on it for 6 months and then gave it up.

I have been on low fodmap for 2 years and I consider it a life saver! I have been able to figure out what I can and can not eat. I don’t always stick to (other then no dairy and onions) but if I’m working I do. I also do 16 hr fastings everyday that I’m working.
