Microscopic colitis is the worst, especially since some Drs don’t take it seriously. Also if they do not biopsy a cell that has it will not show positive.

I have collagenous colitis, similar to microscopic colitis, and yes the doctor must find it through a biopsy, otherwise the bowel looks normal. A good doctor will do a biopsy and diagnosis you properly.
