What helps to relieve symptoms of IBS?

There is a Mayo Clinic article about Alosetron. But this site won't let me post the URL I am not a big drug taker. I even use over the counter meds in moderation.

I have lived with IBS-D for 22 years. Some bouts are more severe than others. My triggers are stress, anxiety, fatty foods, popcorn, corn, cauliflower, even beans and I watch how much daily wheat I eat. I keep Barilla gluten free pasta in the house - which I have found to be the best in texture and taste. I love to bake, but give away most of what I make (except for a small piece for me). Otherwise I may eat too much and have a bout. I tend to be a home body, but will go out with friends, I just make sure I haven't eaten anything that might set me off. The longer I have this, the easier it has become to manage or should I say tolerate. Sometimes though I have a bout and can't figure out what the heck triggered it. Go figure.

Hi Sonnie, I noticed that you wished to post a URL with your post. You will be able to add URLs to your posts in a few days. There is a brief period where new members can't post links. We do this to deter spammers and keep the community safe.

Obviously the link you wished to include is not spam. Allow me to post the information from Mayo Clinic about alosetron for you.

Hi Sonny27-
What you’re going thru sounds like the same issues that I go thru everyday. Nothing I’ve tried has helped me. I just bought a bottle of “ IBS Clear”. I’ve read a lot of good reviews on it. I hope it helps. My stomach gets really bad after lunch. I’ve left restaurants & got my meal to go because it was bad.
I’d love to know if anyone has tried something and got some relief from it.
