it can be treated by radiofrequency ablation or epidural also chiropractic is an option because the doctor does adjustments on you. I had both above done in the past and they last a year. By laser I wouldn't be able to tell you. However the epidurals I needed to repeat before I got relief again.
Isn't that just treating the pain, ablation, epidurals and/or chiropractic. My ins doesn't cover chiropractic anyway. I don't know about Carroll, but what I am looking for is someone, the name of the procedure, to fix my cervical stenosis. To make the pathway inside that bone big enough for what needs to pass through it. It's the whole spinal cord, isn't it? Cervical stenosis keeps getting worse, doesn't it? We need to know what can being done surgically (I assume) to keep the stenosis from causing the shut down of everything below that cervical location. And it's mighty painful when it does, too. This isn't just about become paralysed from somewhere on the neck down.

The true cause of spinal stenosis is the osteoarthritis that causes the inflammation of the joints and spine. Because that is an autoimmune disease. Basically our body is attacking itself since it thinks something in the body is an invading particle. Surgically you would have to go to a neurosurgeon. Chiropractic does more than treat pain it adjusts the spine and also works on any issues that the chiropractor may be causing it. I have found that my chiropractor knows what I need by what I tell him; pain management here knows him and He knows them so I have providers that are concerned about me.

Okay. You didn't know that my insurance will not pay for chiropractic. I had one, the last one, years ago who was great. But that was on the other side of WA State. Now, are you saying that osteoarrthritis is an autoimmunce disease? Because I've had it long time, and when the question came up with my doctors regarding autoimmune diseases/disorders, two of them told me I don't have an autoimmune disease. So, now I'm confused. Regardless, I take your point that chiro and other treatments for inflamation are helpful. I know they are. But still, the stenosis (in C5-C6 and others) grows. And now, my kidneys can't take much more systemic NSAID's, unless it's dire straits. Thank God for diclofenac gel. So, even with all those nice treatments, the stenosis continues. I was looking for something that removes or opens up the strangling of our nerve cords. I think it's wonderful that you have providers that are concerned about you. I am a Messianic Jewish woman who leads our shul and teaches only women (and children). I also own the name of our denomination. This last time, I got Adm of the healthcare system I'm in, looking in to it. And a referral out of their HC system to Head & Neck outside. Likely, that will end with them telling me they could not find anything to confirm the abuse I suffered from some of those "healthcare providers" specialists who play games because in all these years, I've failed to sue any of them. You'd be surprised at how many doctors really don't like our religion. We also travel, we have to, and move around a lot. Though I was born in this city and hope to get proper medical care here before we have to leave. I've been working on it now for 4 years. A few things have been treated well, some cured. Two precancers removed. But all that other nonsense (my religion) loses me any providers who might have truly been concerned. I recognise some did a great job on me. But each one of them is only my PCP, or an ENT, or a GYN, or an Opthamologist, etc. We are not all blessed with good providers. So, we doctor shop. I have no idea why that bothers some physicians. If they don't want us, why not be happy we've moved on out of their hair? Yet, we are too busy to understand each and every weird thing some of them do to us. Living with peace and safety at home is far more important. But I would go get my C5-C6 fixed, if I can.

Hi @thenazareneshul, I don’t believe there was any rude intention on the part of @rely1ngonhelp in their reply. It sounded very empathetic to what you’re going through.
I hope you reconsider about your decision to leave our forum as it’s a safe place for us all to share our experiences and learn from each other. I’m glad to hear of the partnership your Chiropractor has with your other medical folks. I just started with a Integrative Medicine group and am so pleased with the relationship they have with my other doctors. It sure helps to know our whole team has the same goals and are trying to help us!

You assumed wrongly I did read that I understand what you are going through and my mom also has it.
