I don't know if your husband is a coffee drinker like me but I buy Healthwise low acid coffee on amazon. For creamer I use almond milk which will neutralize any acid in the coffee. I drink 2 cups a day.
Was he put on a PPI? Don't eat Italian,Mexican or any fried foods. No booze,or soda, no smoking. Don't use salt or pepper or any seasonings. I live on chicken breast that I cut up and boil it. Stay away from citrus fruits. Melons are good and ripe bananas. Whole wheat bread is good. Stay away from fast food, it's loaded with fat and sodium. Don't eat 3 hrs before bed. All you can do is cut out fatty, fried foods, soda, booze, vinegar products. Drink unsweetened almond milk, green tea, and lots of water. Don't eat before bedtime. Lose weight if needed and exercise. Buy the book "The acid Watcher diet on amazon. Great info and what to eat and avoid. Now that he had H Pylori, he has a better chance of getting stomach cancer.
