Hi @ryman, I see that you posted a discussion in 2017 on Possible low kidney function - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/possible-low-kidney-function/. Here's some basic information on stage 3 kidney disease that may be helpful.

"Stage 3 CKD is split into two substages based on your eGFR:
-- Stage 3a means you have an eFGR between 45 and 59
-- Stage 3b means you have an eGFR between 30 and 44
With treatment and healthy life changes, many people in Stage 3 do not move to Stage 4 or Stage 5."

There is a discussion focused on stopping or slowing the progression of kidney disease --- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): How do I stop progression?: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/ckd/

Did your doctor offer any suggestions or lifestyle changes that might help you?

Thank you. i will definitely check these out. My doctor never mentioned kidney disease. She said my kidneys showed dehydration and I should drink more water. I found this in a visit summary that was sent to me.

Dr only said drink more water

I have come to the conclusion that doctors do not care to even tell the patient they have CKD. They are just in it for the money. The only help I got was on the computer.

My doctor did not even tell me I had ckd for 18 years. If I had moved to NC, I would never have known. Even here they offer no help. Worried more about High Blood count.
