Actually it works kind of different in India :). Even the doctors are more comfortable talking to patient's loved ones instead to the patients. Because, inhere, the word Cancer is a very scary word, it makes a person more sick than he/she really is. I have told her about the tumor and possibility of it being malignant, but the final biopsy results are awaited. I wont take any decision without telling her, just want an holistic view and then can make her understand what is the disease and what are her options.

I understand. Good for you. The word cancer is extremely scary. I know as I have a long history with the word. It is now my 25th year. Yes, cancer can kill but the type of adenocarcinoma that I have is different and it is very indolent. I am lucky even though as of this post I have had 5 lung cancers. Treatments have come a long way and there is hope for a lot of people.

Please stay in touch and I would love to know the results of the biopsy. Has a pulmonologist given your mom an inhaler?
