Teresa,
Thanks for your reply and the links you provided. The distal pancreatectomy-splenectomy was performed on 06/12 in China and we are still in the process of gathering the details of the operation.

The patient is current going through post-surgery recovery in China and we are gathering potential treatment plans from both China and US and making comparisons, and then will decide on what would be the final treatment plan.

I have gone through the registration process following the link you provided. At the end of the process, it requires making appointment at one of the 3 locations. Is it possible that we submit the medical data related to the pre/post medical tests as well as the surgery information to the doctors in Mayo Clinic and they provide the second opinion on the post-surgery treatment plan remotely? If it is possible, what kind of of procedure, do you recommend us to follow (for registration for example)?

Hi @camelbrook,
Mayo Clinic welcomes both new and existing patients for virtual and in-person care, including elective surgeries, in adherence with international, federal and state executive orders and guidance.

Video and phone visits also can be great options for appointments before, after or in place of face-to-face care. Appointment coordinators will recommend a virtual visit if it best fits your individual needs.

Here are the phone numbers as well as the online form specific for International Services at Mayo Clinic in English https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/international/appointments
And in Chinese https://www.mayoclinic.org/zh-hans/departments-centers/international/appointments

Filling in the form or calling Mayo Clinic will begin with scheduling a telephone appointment to go over the details of your request, medical history, tests, and other information for physicians to review.

I hope the patient is recovering well and that you connect with a scheduler at Mayo Clinic.
