My wife and I have both recently ended up coming to Mayo in Rochester, unfortunately, quite a bit lately. We are close enough to make the drive but with a recent 6:45 appt. have decided staying over is not a bad idea. So was wondering if there is reasonably priced (100.00-ish?) accommodations in the area. Just a clean OK place to sleep is all we need. Nothing fancy...pools, restaurants, etc are not necessary. We know our way around town fairly well but would like to stay within a reasonable distance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Michael

Hi @thatguy I agree, a 6:45 AM appointment warrants a fresh start from a hotel bed instead of a road trip.
I did a quick look and found quite a number of hotels in the price range of $115 and down. One is the Hilton Garden Inn for $91.00, which is very near the Clinic.
There are too many to list so my suggestion is to do what I just did. https://www.google.com/maps/search/Hotels/@44.0101405,-92.4807083,14.7z
Then zoom in to the clinic area and there’s a list of hotels with their prices popping up. Bear in mind the prices don’t necessarily include the county room tax and parking. But it will get you a ballpark figure.

Let me know what you find! What’s your favorite restaurant in Rochester?

Hi Thatguy, I’ll add my welcome to @loribmt’s. I moved your question about reasonably priced places to stay to this existing discussion:

Hi @thatguy! I recommend the Econolodge on S Broadway in Rochester. This has been my go to hotel for the last seven years. It is approximately 2 miles from the clinic. Clean rooms, with a wonderful continental breakfast, free shuttle to the clinic, Perkins restaurant next door, bare floors rather than carpet (which I absolutely love) and friendly staff. I am staying there this coming week for two nights. Only $87 + taxes a night which roughly is just about $101 a night for one room with two queen beds. There is an exercise room available along with an elevator.
