Hello @abtex65 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I can understand your concern about sharing this with people in your daily circle, so glad that you have joined Connect to see if you can find others who you may be more comfortable sharing your experience with.

I see members @islandfrog and @julkun have joined you already.

I can tell there has been history with celibacy but it sounds like things have changed somewhat in your relationship making it now feel like you are missing out due to your health circumstances. Have you had a discussion with your wife about your feelings and to talk about if she is interested in pursing some level of pleasure in your relationship going forward and what that might look like at this point in your life? Is this a topic you two are comfortable breaching?

Hello Amanda. My wife lost interest many years ago after having 2 kids they became more important to her. I made a commitment before God and man almost 32 years ago, Unfortunately she became disinterested over 25 years ago and when the disinterest lasts as long as it has there is no going back to the way it was with it being my issue now. Yes. my wife is aware as I told her what the doctor's have said. I have also tried all of the medicine which does no good since those med's are only for blood flow and not nerve damage. My wife seems to be content with the issue so there really is no reason to bring up any longer. Thanks again for your reply.
