Just diagnosed with severe tricuspid regurgitation - no symptoms (besides fatigue and occasional heart palpitations, which I thought were *just* anxiety/stress); results showed up on echocardiogram. I have an appointment with Jax Mayo cardiologist and add'l tests scheduled, but not until late August. Not put on any meds, and told by my primary provider ok to continue 55-60 miles per week walking/running - but I have concern about how far I should travel from 911 services, what q's I should be asking for... still reeling from diagnosis and wanting to live life as fully as I can, but not have a heart attack while I am waiting....

I had tricuspid and mitral valve repair in November at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mn. I had tricuspid regurgitation since 2003. It became severe in 2015 but just had the surgery. I have heart failure and have been on several meds for that but nothing that was specifically for the tricuspid leakage. I was advised to continue walking and I wore a Medic Alert chain when I went out to walk. Good luck.
