Lower back pain due to a pinched nerve: Anything I can do for relief?
Had 3 injections for pinched nerve & sore hip, all to no avail. Any thing I can do to eliminate the pain & soreness?

Hello @djacko and welcome to Mayo Connect. As you do not mention the reason for your back/hip pain, it makes it difficult to connect you with a current discussion group here on Connect. Perhaps you could share more about the reason for this pain, such as degenerative disc disease or perhaps an injury from an accident, etc. As you mention that you have had injections, I'm wondering if you have had physical therapy as well?
I look forward to hearing from you again so that I can direct you to a discussion group where you can meet other members with a similar problems.
Will you post again?
They stated my nerve was pinched by a vertebrae. It has gotten better but still have soreness in the lower back & hip.
I add my welcome, @djacko. To help you connect with additional members, I expanded the title of the discussion and added your question to the Spine Health group as well. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/spine-health/

What has your medical team suggested beyond injections to relax the pinching of the vertebrae?
Met with the Orthopedic doc today, suggested more injections.
Discussed physical therapy will do the therapy & hope for good results!
Hi. Not sure what the dangers of the steroid injections are. For the first time I had an injection in my sacroiliac joint and 2 weeks later some parts of my feet go numb off and on but the nerve pain is still there. Odd.
My injections were steroids & chorasone worked for a time, but not a 100% fix
Check out these stretches that might help. The reclining pigeon pose really helped me.

That may help a bit, but truly, this is just the template that every pain doctor just follows. Keep pushing, the squeaky wheel gets the crease! I found that a Cortisone or the like trigger point injections WITH BOTOX! I received one with Botox in it and my pain went completely away for months. The first and only time that has happened! Now the Doc's can't use it!!! Sound the Alarm!
Why not ? I would like to try it.
Could the Botox be administered by an Orthopedic doc?
