The Decipher Prostate Biopsy test is used for patients following a cancer diagnosis to inform whether the patient is a candidate foe active surveillance, needs mono therapy or may benefit from intensified treatment. Do any doctors on this site have any experience or thoughts about this test?

I had a RP in 2019. Genomic testing said 5.9% chance of reoccurring in 10 years. 16 months later cancer came back in lower abdomen lymph nodes. 35 radiation treatments and many problems after. Test is not always accurate.

Welcome @renogeorge. I moved your question to this discussion about the Decipher Prostate Genomic Classifier that @waynen started. Note that Mayo Clinic Connect is a place to connect with other patients.

An update to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines for Oncology in 2021 recommended using the Decipher Prostate genomic classifier to help guide treatment in men with high-risk prostate cancer following radical prostatectomy (RP).

Did you have the genomic testing done?
