What’s a reasonable amount to do in a day?

Hi @flynnzie, are you feeling better today? I worry that you really over-did the work outside Sunday with all the mowing! That tall grass is a lot of work! We participated in the no-mow May, too and it took my husband a couple passes with first the blade high and then lowering it for another round. Some of the neighbors weren’t joining, making our yard look like a hayfield in comparison. But we made a lot of bees and butterflies happy.
Do you have any teens in the neighborhood looking for summer jobs?? Might be able to get someone to help you out for a little gas money.

Thanks, but no need to worry. all recuperated, and I'm really glad I got as much as I did on Sunday. The weather has not cooperated since then, and I know better than to be out there on days like this. Maybe an hour or so in the early morning, but I usually fall back to sleep after waking between 1 and 3 AM. My eccentric neighbor next door doesn't cut much at all, and I used to help out with some of it. Without a powerful motor, probably not this year. I think he waits for city notices:) Most of the neighborhood looks down on him for not maintaining his property up to their standards. I am glad that he lets things go as I've seen things that don't' show up in the rest of the neighborhood. He has a long term relationship with the squirrels and feeds them. And wildflowers pop up all over his yard. He's more intelligent than most of the people here:)
A have another neighbor who will help out if I need it, but I try not to take advantage of him. My daughter dislikes yard work due to fear of insects and running over bunny nests. It happened a few years ago, but now that the 'mower' is so small, I think that the risk is low now:). Just saw a cute bumble bee out there. Cardinals, and finches hang out too. bunnies love my yard.
For the next few days I will have to be content with indoor activities. Yesterday was mostly sleeping; the rest helps my pain level. It looks so beautiful outdoors, but stepping out is entering the inferno. One errand and I'm done for the day! Just taking it easy for awhile, and emotionally much better. Thanks again.
