My neurologist in GA 2.5 years ago told me about this paraneoplastic blood test that can detect cancer cells in your blood meaning you have a cancerous tumor somewhere in your body but you are not aware of it yet but those cancer cells have dispersed through your bloodstream and are now affecting your nervous system or your autonomic nervous system. The neurologist said many people think they have a nervous system issue whether it's muscle twitching or any other kind of symptoms yet really it could be you have cancer and you're not aware of it yet and that paraneoplastic blood test will look for cancer cells letting the doctor know somewhere in your body that you have not found yet is a cancerous tumor.

After I moved away from Georgia almost 2 years ago I immediately told my primary care doctor about this blood test and she did another paraneoplastic blood test And that blood test is well came back as negative. There's also blood tests like the I think it's the HUNA blood test that can also detect cancer cells. That acronym of letters may be incorrect but I know it began with an H.

@joannemm30809 Yes, you are spot on. I had that test done about a month ago and getting my results at the end of the month. I'm actually hoping it comes back positive so there is finally something that's concrete to move forward with. Best of luck to both of you, and wishing you all the pain free days ahead!
