I can't tell you how much I appreciate your message. Even though I am working with my GP and a therapist, neither is knowledgeable in the area of antidepressants. I have seen a person on staff who is supposed to be knowledgeable in anti d meds, but I find she is not very knowledgeable. (When I mentioned bead removal as a tapering technique, she said she had never heard of it.) It was she who suggested trying Prozac as a bridge, but Prozac is in the red area of the gene test she did. Frankly, I don't think any of them knows about withdrawal, just prescribing. I can tell that you are working on finding an answer. I'm pleased that you are advocating for yourself in this way. From what you've said in this most recent post, it sounds as if you have had the gene test to determine what meds would be the best. That's just great.

Have you considered talking with a pharmacist? I look forward to hearing from you again.
