Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?
I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

I would not be able to go on long walks without my HOKA shoes. Many decades as a runner and shoes have always been a big deal for me, particularly 6 years into my PN diagnoses. HOKA!
Oversized helps with me. I have sketchers.
Same here, I like Sketchers and get the wider toes.
Carol, my Hokas saved me. $$$ but worth every penny.
I have tried many different types of shoes. I find Sketchers sneakers in a wide width help me most. It used to be Crocs but Sketchers have the best footbed for me. Even their summer shoes are better than more expensive brands.
In my search I came across this post. Tell me please, how do you get Medicare to pay for the inserts? Are they for neuropathy in your feet? To what degree do they help you? What brand are they and where did you buy them? Any additional info would be welcome! Thank you.
You must first get a prescription from you doctor which is dependent on being diabetic with neuropathy. The shoe provider then provides the shoes with 3 pairs of inserts.

I believe shoes make a big difference sometimes.
When I fell down some stairs in a boat I ended up with plantar fasciitis and I went to the shoe store and told them I hurt my foot and want to see some comfortable shoes. I don’t want to know the names or price and tried on a bunch. Naturally the ones that helped the most were the most expensive.
When I was having the painful sensations of neuropathy I bought New Balance 990s and had othodics made by my Podiatrist which were not covered by insurance. I recently purchased some new balance 1540’s and SAS’s hoping they might ease the numbness but no such luck.

I have numb feeling in my feet no pain. Also I have bad hammertoes, every shoe I get hurt my feet, also ones I got from Medicare paying for them. I'm at a loss what to do! I bought a pair of slippers from Amazon called Bobs and they are about 50% ok. I had another pair of these that I wore for 2 years and threw away and bought another pair. It is awful that no shoes feel good to me. Hope all of you have neuropathy find comfortable shoe's!!! Good Luck!!
I've gotten othodics made by my Podiatrist , $200 and othodics from Amazon around $40. I can't tell which is which, both work...good luck!
