Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?

I have Medicare and supplemental insurance. I get new shoes and inserts yearly free of charge. They are designed for neuropathy and seem to help somewhat, although I have some occasional balance problems.

In my search I came across this post. Tell me please, how do you get Medicare to pay for the inserts? Are they for neuropathy in your feet? To what degree do they help you? What brand are they and where did you buy them? Any additional info would be welcome! Thank you.
