Can't get an appointment: Any tips on what to do?

So if Mayo already had too many requests for these particular areas, I’m wondering why they asked me to get a CT scan in the first place. It would’ve been better for public relations just to tell me that at the beginning. I still do not understand if I am persona non grata with Mayo.

@gottab,
Many factors are considered, capacity being one. Appointments at Mayo Clinic are prioritized on the basis of medical need. Availability depends on the nature and urgency of the problem and Mayo Clinic's ability to help (as determined by a Mayo Clinic doctor). The complexity of the medical condition and the availability of care closer to home are important factors to consider.

I do not have answers as to why Mayo Clinic is unable to see you at this time. However, I do know that you are not persona non grata. Given that you were asked to send additional imaging studies suggests that your case was reviewed carefully. Other members have shared that after being denied (even more than once), they tried again and were able to get an appointment.

There are a few options you might try as others have suggested:
1. Ask you current GI to submit a physician referral.
2. Try another Mayo location if that is an option for you.
3. Look into the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
