I have 2 bulging disc's in lumbar and S1. A herniated disc midback. I have a bone out of place and surgery is not an option because I smoke. Then he suggested a spinal cord stimulator. I have 3 nerve roots.

I started smoking when I was 9 years old and quit 30 years later. It only took a million times before I quit for good. Its difficult because your cells are signaling for the nicotine drug every hour (or as often as you normally smoke) for each puff you take is administering a drug so its that often your body is anticipating a fix. Eventually it tapers down; the longer you go, the easier it gets until one day you forget you ever smoked. — trust me, it does happen. For more motivation I googled about the ill effects of cigarettes. There is a ton of information about all the ill effects of smoking and pictures to really scare you into quitting. I also kept asking myself, why can’t you quit? There were lots of different answers but one day the biggest holdback came to mind. From that day forward, I understood and was able to let go of smoking.
