Horizant is an anti-seizure medication. Here's what is listed on Mayo Clinic's website for peripheral neuropathy – "Anti-seizure medications. Medications such as gabapentin (Gralise, Neurontin, Horizant) and pregabalin (Lyrica), developed to treat epilepsy, may relieve nerve pain.
