Hi,
I guess you need to be on proper dose of medicine(antidepressant) on long term basis (not less than an year). I sense somehow that correct medicines will help you remarkably.

Is there a support group in your community or online that you can communicate with other adults living with type 1 diabetes? Type 1 is an almost invisible disease that is so relentless. I think speaking with others going through the same thing is helpful. I have a child with type 1 diabetes. Check out tudiabetes online for others going through the same struggles. It could help.
