@miserable, I would like to add my welcome to Connect along with @artscaping and others. I was miserable also when I was first diagnosed. What got me feeling a little better and provided hope was searching, reading and learning as much as I can about my conditions. Two sites I use a lot for neuropathy that you might find helpful are:
-- Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy: https://www.foundationforpn.org/
-- Neuropathy Commons: https://neuropathycommons.org/neuropathy/neuropathy-overview

Myself and others have shared what helped us in the discussion Member Neuropathy Journey Stories: What's Yours?: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/member-neuoropathy-journey-stories-whats-yours/

I think when you have neuropathy, lifestyle changes like reducing or eliminating alcohol, sugar, processed foods and other unhealthy habits can have a positive effect on our condition. Have you thought about or made any lifestyle changes to help with your symptoms?

Thank-you, I am reading everything I can find. I am trying to eat healthy. I called neuropathy foundation and the only thing they would suggest is paleo diet. It is hard enough to cook for my family let alone make another meal for me. Prices are going up so much. We can't afford that. I am currently not working, I need to be. I just don't think anyone would hire me. I walk like Yoda and can't open a ziploc bag. I feel useless and my husband has lost patience.
