@raebaby why aren't you taking anti-estrogens? I took letrozole for 5 years and didn't have too many problems. What are you taking for the HER2+?

I know two people who used a dietary approach to cancer and, I hate to say it, they did not do well. Diet can possibly help, but should probably not be relied on alone. Did your doctor encourage using a plant based diet as the only treatment?

I feel awful with no estrogen in my system so since I am 80 I want to enjoy my life without them and my oncologist agreed with me. I had Herceptin in my chemo treatments and I hope I have no more cancer. If it comes back I would take Herceptin again, and radiation, but never Taxol.

No he didn't. He said the odds were not greatly improved if I didn't take it. I had been on hormone treatment ever since menopause. (I'm 80 now)Taking that additional estrogen certainly didn't help, but I no longer do that.
It was the surgeon who talked to me about the plant based diet when I went in to get my port removed after finishing treatment last week.
