I am 80 years old and had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation just this last year. I don't want to take anti-estrogens, so I'm not. I am HER2positive.
My surgeon told me to start having a plant based diet. Thank you for the above information.

@raebaby why aren't you taking anti-estrogens? I took letrozole for 5 years and didn't have too many problems. What are you taking for the HER2+?

I know two people who used a dietary approach to cancer and, I hate to say it, they did not do well. Diet can possibly help, but should probably not be relied on alone. Did your doctor encourage using a plant based diet as the only treatment?
