How soon is too soon to go back to work is a tough question to answer. It sounds like you're concerned that he may be pushing himself to go back too soon.

You're right. He doesn't have the strength or stamina to do the work. He recently was fired for taking too much time off. He is living with me in senior housing (my only income is social security); and on May 16, he has to leave. Homeless shelters haven't worked out that great. Oh and he has major chemo brain! At this point I don't know how and can't afford to help him.
