Thank you all for posting. I had excellent hearing in both ears till Feb 2022, 3 months ago, when I became suddenly deaf in left ear. I'm looking into the Osia 2 because the hearing loss is too severe for hearing aid to work. I'm afraid to drive, ride a bike, or even walk a trail as I don't feel safe since this happened. My husband thinks it's too soon to move forward because he thinks my hearing could improve but I feel I should move forward so looking for testimonials.

So sorry to hear that you're going through this, @bdurel. I can only go from my own experience, but I think you're doing the right thing by being proactive and looking at your options. I went deaf in my right ear in October 2020 and had my surgery in January 2021. For me, hearing was critical and being deaf in my right ear and not hearing well in my left ear while trying to maintain my social and professional responsibilities meant that I needed to research options and get moving. I don't think people understand how devastating, isolating, and difficult dealing with hearing loss is. Further, because so many people don't get help, there's a lack of public awareness about hearing loss and how to best deal with it. If you had vision issues, you'd go get some contacts or glasses.

Hang in there! I remember scouring the internet for information and testimonials, just like you. Please ask any questions that you may have!

Best,
Stephanie
