@retired123, You mentioned you have SFN with no pain. I'm curious why a doctor/neurologist would even prescribe pregabalin if you have no pain. My neurologist and my PCP tried giving me gabapentin and when I told them it's not helping the numbness they both told me there are no drugs that will help numbness, it's only used to treat pain symptoms by blocking the pain signals in the brain (my interpretation of what they told me).

That is exactly what I asked THEM. Each doctor told me it was the "treatment" for neuropathy symptoms with or w/o pain. It did help a bit with the tingling but I wasn't satisfied with their answer so I kept looking. I found a doctor that told me the med tricks your brain into not thinking about the symptoms. It is my understanding all of the gaba drug family is an antiseizure med and off label it is used for neuropathy.
