I have an inflamed Achilles’ tendon for which little can be done. I have seen an orthopedic specialist, and X-rays show no tearing or damage, just inflammation. His advice was to continue with physical therapy and use a topical CBD cream or salve to temper the discomfort. It is a long process, but the combination has improved the condition.

Hello - There is one more thing that sometimes helps - it is known as Kinesio taping. Have you tried it?
That funny looking tape you see all over pro athletes' bodies is actually special - it is a stretchy cotton tape on a non-latex adhesive, and is place over sore or inflamed areas of the body to help improve blood flow and relieve pain. It can stay in place for several days, through work, exercise & showers.
There are numerous explanations for using it on virtually every body part - here is an example for the Achilles (my favorite method - there are others) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7OAD4zIBos My husband wore it regularly for months after an acute achilles tendon injury, and goes back to it when the heel gets sore again.
There are a number of brands out there, I am partial to KT Tape (from the original Kinesio brand) and Rock Tape. Since it was introduced to me over 10 years ago, I have used it on dozens of people and turned a lot of skeptics into believers.
Hi @reid357, there are several reasons that people may use CBD oil for managing health issues from epilepsy in children to sleep aid to pain control. It can work well for some. Others find it has little effect. Here's an article that may interest you.
