@collegeprof, I'm tagging a few other members like @lyssia @jkluv7 @tcokeefe and @imhart, who have mentioned Farxiga (dapagliflozin), a medication for adults with type 2 diabetes, heart failure with symptoms, and chronic kidney disease (CKD). I hope they have some experiences and insights to share with you.

GFR, as you pointed out, can fluctuate, so it may be too early to pin your decision on the most recent reading. I encourage you to share your concerns with your Mayo nephrologist without hesitation. When is your next GFR?

@collegeprof I have taken Farxiga for several years now and have had no issues with it. I do not have CKD so can not give any insight for that. Best Wishes Alyssia

Not enough can be said about Mayo's patient portal. It is by far the best interactive patient care portal I have ever experienced. I contacted my Mayo nephrologist about my concern of Farxiga. He literally answered me on the portal within an hour and set me up for another blood test as my oxygen level was lower than expected. Another test was made, and the results were published on my portal in less than one hour. He concluded Farxiga was safe as my oxygen level was normal in the new test, all in a couple of hours. My next appointment for a blood test result with my endocrinologist is in 11 days.
