The State of Texas pulled the funds for the Rec/Wellness Coordinators jobs statewide effective at the end of July 2020 and we were laid off due to the pandemic-then in November 2020 I had Covid pneumonia and it has been a rocky uphill road that I continue to try to navigate health wise. All the best to you as you return to work.
The State of Texas laid off all the Recreation/Wellness Coordinators at the end of July 2020 due to the Covid lockdown-I had Covid pneumonia November 2020 thru December 2020…I’ve been battling post Covid symptoms since. As you said the best we can do most days is just manage the symptoms and continue to push forward hoping to feel normal again! As I’ve been told the doctors working on long Covid say they are in uncharted territory, and are “building the plane as we are up in the air flying.” But I believe that
one day they will find a solution for this baffling condition. Hope your return to work will be terrific-I think you are wise to begin with half days as it will allow you to rest and regroup, as well as being able to attend necessary doctor appointments without having to take off work.
Take care of yourself!
